Join the "What Kind of Florida" Campaign
“What Kind of Florida Do You Want to Live In” is a ground-breaking, two-year initiative that will mobilize citizens from around the state to come together in shaping policy proposals that can make a real difference in the lives of Floridians.
Concerned citizens will join with policy experts to identify and analyze problems, share ideas, and develop realistic policy proposals, as well as offer solutions to families and business to enable them to make immediate changes to improve their lives and communities. We'll hold online forums, use email to share information and gather feedback, and host in-person events to bring together citizens, experts, and elected officials.
We can’t rely on elected officials to put aside their partisan differences and their relationships with special interests to get things done. Bold ideas and innovative solutions need to come from the people. If enough citizens join together, we can craft real solutions and then raise our voices together in Tallahassee to make them reality. Together, we can turn around our state’s ailing education system and sluggish economy, strengthen families, and protect Florida’s natural resources.
We need your input and support to make this effort work. While similar grassroots, bottom-up policy development efforts have been successful around the country, an initiative like this has never been attempted statewide in a state as populous as Florida. But rather than viewing our large population and our geographic and ethnic diversity as challenges, we believe they are an asset. Working together we can improve the quality of life for all Floridians and build a brighter tomorrow for our children.
So please, ask yourself...
What Kind of Florida Do You Want to Live in?
And then join us, so we can make your vision a reality.
